Abstract: The geological condition of slope at the inlet of Jinchuan Hydropower Project’s diversion tunnel is complex with several groups of developed faults and fissures, which gave rise to high and steep slope after excavation and brought about stability problem. In the present paper, sensitivity computations on pre-stressed anchor cable, lock anchor cable and anchor pile were carried out by using finite element software ADINA, and optimized measures of anchor reinforcement were presented. In subsequence, finite difference software FLAC3D was employed to build a three-dimensional model of excavated and anchored slope. The safety and stability of slope under natural condition, excavating condition, reinforcing condition and other three conditions are calculated. The calculation results demonstrated the rationality of the anchoring scheme, and revealed the unstable position under different conditions. This research has guiding significance for engineering construction.
