Abstract: In view of the thermal pollution of mines, the heat sources of deep-mine were introduced. A novel thermal insulating concrete was prepared with ceramisite, glazed hollow bead and fly ash as heat insulation materials through orthogonal experiment. The optimum mix ratio was obtained by using efficacy coefficient method. On the premise of guaranteeing concrete’s mechanics performance, the heat preservation and insulation performance was improved, with the thermal conductivity coefficient only 1/8 of normal concrete. With the rockbolt and shotcrete support for the roadway of mining area in Huainan as engineering background, field tests of springback loss, surrounding rock pressure, concrete stress and surrounding rock convergence were conducted. Field monitoring results showed that the proposed insulating concrete material has good heat insulation effect, and its performance could fully meet the requirements of coal-mine shotcrete construction, beneficial for the underground work personnel’s safety and health of body and mind.
