Water Regulation in Dry Season in the Middle and Lower Ganjiang River

Abstract

Crisis of industrial water and domestic water has emerged in the areas of the middle and lower Ganjiang River because of runoff decrease in the channel during dry season of dry year. The concept, method and planning framework of water regulation for areas along the main stream of Ganjiang river are put forward. The base flow and the dispatchable water volume of reservoirs are analyzed. The water regulation plan for the middle and lower Ganjiang river in dry season is presented in consideration of the status quo of water resources, eco-environment, and socio-economic development. This research provides scientific basis for the water management and regulation during the dry season of dry year in the Ganjiang River Valley.
