Time Domain Modeling and Simulation with Vertical Vibration Hydraulic Shaker on Centrifuge

Abstract: A time domain model based on Matlab/Simulink was built with vertical vibration hydraulic shaker on centrifuge. The model consists of modules including reference signal, oil pump, relief valve, accumulator, servo valve, controller, hydraulic cylinder, and displacement measurement. The reference signal can be step signal, single-frequency sine signal, and swept-frequency sine signal. According to physical laws and common factors, a large flow moving coil servo valve module was built which can be zero lap, over lap, and under lap in pilot stage and main stage, and the inverse flow is considered especially. With swept-frequency sine input, the frequency response and wave pattern in the whole frequency range were obtained. Vibration displacement, velocity, and acceleration waves gained in a simulation example showed that the model was consistent with physical laws. Since factors as many as possible were considered in the modeling, the model gives good characterization of wave and can be used as a reference in shaker design.
