Abstract: H+Hat combined steel sheet pile has a broad prospect of application for its advantages of simple structure, big bending stiffness, repeated use and cost effectiveness, however, it has not been applied and lacks verification in China. Field test was conducted to study the variation of static pile press-extracting force and pile jacking speed; and the full width, lock opening, side bending and buckling deformation in the condition of repeated jacking and extracting were analysed; the applicability of static pile press-extracting machine was also verified. Results show that the existing machine can rapidly press the H+Hat combination steel sheet pile into soil and the deformation under repeated pressing and extracting meets standard requirement. It can be applied to engineering of foundation pit, cofferdam and wharf.
