Soil and Water Loss Database Built Based on RS and GIS for Dam Region of Wudongde Hydroelectric Power Station

Abstract: One representative district in the dam of Wudongde Hydroelectric Power Station is selected as an experiment and demonstration area, the region situation of land use, vegetation coverage, slope factor extraction, classification of soil and water loss grade and the generation of all special subject database are introduced in detail, and the distributions of land use, vegetation coverage, slope and soil erosion intensity are also analyzed. All of these will provide bases and references for reservoir construction, automatic monitoring of soil and water loss and information management in Jinshajiang River.
