Abstract: The creep of geogrid in reinforced soil is researched in consideration of the stress level at each point of the geogrid. A viscoelastic rheological model with three parameters is adopted to simulate the creep and is coupled with the stress of each point on the grid. Three-dimensional images of the creep in consideration of geogrid’s stress level are obtained, and the results show that the creep of geogrid does not increase with the increase of depth, and the maximum creep does not occur at the bottom layer. Moreover, the axial inhomogeneity of soil will affect the creep of each point on the geogrid. By combining test and theoretical analysis, the axial inhomogeneity of soil is considered, and a reference is offered to solve the problem of anisotropy of reinforced soil influencing on geogrid creep.
