Abstract:

The aim of this research is to reduce soil and water loss by taking appropriate countermeasures during the construction of oil pipeline projects. The composition, construction organization and techniques of oil pipeline construction are analyzed. The techniques of laying ordinary pipeline and pipelines crossing highway, railway, river are introduced in emphasis. Moreover, pipelines in plain area and hilly area are partitioned and are further divided into 5 sub-zones (pipe laying zone, crossing zone, station and valve chamber zone, construction road zone, and construction zone). The objectives of soil and water loss are determined by the weighting of objectives of each segment. On this basis, systems of different countermeasures for hilly area and plain area are established, and the features of engineering measures, plant measures, as well as temporary measures are analyzed. Appropriate measures are adjusted according to specific local conditions. This research is a reference for the control of soil and water loss for oil pipeline project.

Key words: oil pipeline project, soil and water loss, construction organization, construction technology, prevention and control measures
