Abstract: After the main project of Yatang reservoir was finished, much water seepage had appeared on the foot of the dam downstream slope. As for the phenomena, the seepage monitoring was conducted after the first two-tim es of water impoundment. Based on the monitoring data, the seepage position and harm degree have been thoroughly analyzed, and a preliminary forecast and safety assessment made in the paper.
