Abstract:

On the basis of hydrogeology data, Mohr-Coulomb constitutive model in software MIDAS was employed to simulate the deformation of deep foundation pit after each excavation step of different construction procedures. The influence of construction procedure on the stability of deep foundation pit was also analyzed. The deep foundation pit of Mingdu Station of Wuhan Metro was taken as a case study. Results show that the more accurate the construction process is, the smaller the deformation of the upper soil. Therefore, the construction steps must be rationally divided and arranged to ensure the project safety. The present research serve as an  experience for the design and construction of foundation pit for Wuhan Metro.
