Abstract

On the basis of the thinwall beam finite element model of an aqueduct with fluidstructure coupling, the seismic response of some large aqueduct is studied by use of the bilinear model and the Wen model to simulate nonlinear hysteretic curve of the lead rubber bearing. The calculation results show that the lead rubber bearing has good vibration isolation effect in the cases of the aqueduct both with design water level and without water. In order to improve the antiseismic performance of the aqueduct, the common rubber bearing can be replaced by the lead rubber bearing.
