Abstract: A research on numerical calculation of landslide surges and their influences was performed respectively by 1-D, 2-D and a combined mathematies models. Applying these models, two typical river stretches, i.e. Huanglashi landslide body and Lianziya dangerous rock mass, in the TGP reservoir area were investigated. The study results showed that if the sliding of dangerous rock mass once happened, it would cause afairly serious harm to the peoples lifes and properties in the range of 12 kmupstream and downstream the landslide..
