Abstract: According to the structural character of tubular turbine and peculiarity of its transition process, a new weight-loaded closedown and section closing equipment is developed with inserted valves as its main parts. The wickets of the equipment take 2.81 s as the first section closing time, 8 s as the second section closing time, then its inflection point locates at 27% of the whole course. When the turbine unloading 100%, themaximam speed rise rate is 48.3%, much less than the overdriving-protection limit 160%. Owing to its excellent dynamic behavoir and high reliability, the equipment has been widely used in control and regulation oftubular units.
