Abstract: In order to adapt to the practical needs of dam safety monitoring, a new approach to study the displacement mathematical model in dam monitoring is proposed，and the meaning of mathematical model, interrelated concept and theory are introduced. The calculation method of model is described. The calculation results obtained from an illustation show that it can acquire satisfactory accuracy . The model can be used in practice.
