Study on Compactness of Rock Filler in High Concrete Faced Rockfi

Abstract: The proposed Shuibuya concrete facedrockfill dam will be 233m high, which will be the highest in the world. The deformations generated by the dam and face plate are control conditions of design.The higher compactness and lower porosity in rockfill are the key to the deformations of the dam and face plate. By means of in situ reclamation and compaction tests of the Shuibuya Project,the proper parameters of compaction are found. The compactness of the rockfill thus can be ensured.
