Construction Techniques of Water Curtain Hole of an Underground Water-sealed Cavern

Abstract

Abstract: The technical requirements of water curtain hole drilling are expounded in this paper. An underground water-sealed cavern with long water-curtain holes and difficult hole drilling quality control is taken as a case study. By analyzing the drilling angle,drilling speed control,bottom deviation of horizontal holes of different lengths,we obtained the factors affecting the drilling accuracy. Meanwhile,we summarized the procedures of water injection test,and the techniques of water decline test,validity checking test as well as water injection during construction.
