Abstract

Nature-like fishway effectively mitigates the impacts of hydraulic project construction on fishes. The flow condition at fishway’s entrance and exit directly affects its application result. We analyzed the construction and research status of nature-like fishway in China and abroad. Through integral nature-like fishway model experiment and live fish’s upstreaming experiment,we researched the flow regime, velocity distribution and other hydraulic parameters of the fishway’s entrance and exit under different operation modes of power plant, and proposed a recommendation layout of nature-like fishway’s entrance and exit. This research could be a reference for the design of natural-like fishway’s entrance and exit layout under large working head.
