Abstract: Intranet is an infrastructure of science research in Changjiang (Yangtze) River Scientific Research Institute (CRSRI). Main technical issues in the planning and design, construction, operation and maintenance of this intranet are illustrated. Furthermore, based on practices, experiences are summarized in terms of network service demand analysis, network structure design, subnet and output port building, and network security policy.
