Abstract: Large scale triaxial shear test on spherical particle coarse aggregate is carried out. The experimental results show that the relationship between stress and strain is in accord with the ideal elastoplastic model, that its strength is consistent with Mohrs strength theory, and that the axial strain and volumetric strain curve is linear. The properties of spherical particle coarse aggregate are close related to the way of particle adjustment.
