Abstract: n order to adjust Upper Jingjiang stretch fluvial regime and predict its change tendency after completion of TGP,a hysical model study on Upper Jingjiang Stretch was carried out at various stages. The experimental results indicated that Shashi and Haoxue stretches fluvial regime would be ameliorated and their main stream line would be moved to south by means of serial regulating works laying out in Upper Jingjiang Stretch;that river bed from Chenjiawan to Xinchang would scour throughout whole distance from up-stream to downstrean, but the overall fluvial regime remain stable basically except local ones during 30 years after TGP being completed and operated initially
