Abstract: Bankside diversion hydraulic pump station is subjected to large uplift pressure and horizontal load so that the eccentricity is too large. Even if the eccentric weight of pumping station is increased, the anti-slide safety coefficient and base stress of pump couldn’t meet the requirements of specification. It’s difficult to research the vertical loads and horizontal loads of single-pile foundation by analytical methods. So finite element numerical analysis is employed in this paper to analyze the influences of pile diameter, pile length, elastic modulus of foundation soil on the bending moment and displacement of pile foundation. Results indicate that restraining pile top, increasing pile diameter and improving the elastic modulus of foundation soil contribute largely to resist the horizontal loads of pile foundation; while the effects of increasing pile length and improving the elastic modulus of concrete pile are not obvious. The anti-slide safety coefficient and base stress of pump could meet the requirements of specification by restraining the pile top, increasing the diameter of pile, and improving the elastic modulus of foundation soil.
