Service-oriented Spatial Data Sharing Technology of Geo-hazard Assessment

Abstract:  China is a geo-hazard-prone country. The geological hazards have many different types with broad distribution, high frequency, strong intensity, serious situation, direct and indirect huge economic loss. In recent years, the debris flow and landslides caused by natural and human factors have an ascending trend. It is imperative to construct a public service platform for the spatial information sharing of geological disaster. Due to the growing demand for spatial information sharing by the society, government and the public, it has become urgent affairs to summarize and analyze the background and existing issues of spatial information sharing, to scientifically and reasonably construct the geological hazards data sharing platform, and to make full use of it to forecast, early warn, assess and manage the geological hazards. In line with the idea on spatial information resources put forward by the state, the authors discuss the target, the construction ideas, design architecture of the platform, etc., and form a set of relatively complete and normative geo-hazard spatial information sharing services system, WMI, as well as business process. The system can be used in the internet environment.
