Discussion on Comprehensive Management Techniques System of Water and Soil Losses in Hilly Red Soil Region in South of China

Abstract: Hilly red soil regions in the south of China are one of the most serious water and soil loss regions in China. After reviewing the history and effect of soil and water conservation in hilly red soil regions in the south of China briefly, the comprehensive management technique system of water and soil losses in the region is discussed deeply. Some problems in the comprehensive management technique system are pointed out, which there is no national standard for hilly red soil region in the south of China, and no a same standard is adopted in actual implement. Establishing national technique standard and related mechanism about comprehensive management for hill red soil regions in the south of China as soon as possible are proposed.
