Abstract: Based on introductions to the background of work flow application and the theory of workflow technology, we discussed the design and application of integrated management information system. We proposed a work flow model which could be edited, managed and monitored, and described the management mechanism of the work flow through branching logic and aggregation logic. Work flow technology helped automate  business process and promote  paperless information flow within enterprises or organizations. The graphic definition of work flow boosted work efficiency while improved meticulous office procedures. Yangtze River Scientific Research Institute, as a case study, has achieved good results in applying workflow to the integrated information system for office management.
