三维动态柱状图制图表达方法与应用研究

摘要: 地图产品由传统纸质地图发展到电子地图,空间信息的可视化表达手段发生了巨大变化,从平面到三维,从静态到动态,从实体到虚拟。为克服传统分级统计图法在表现形式、视觉感受存在的局限性,以中国大陆各省区2004—2013年GDP制图为例,探讨了三维动态柱状图的专题地图表达方法,以三维柱状图的高度和柱体颜色2个变量表达2个不同的属性值,合成不同时间点的三维柱状图进行动态显示。结果表明,三维动态柱状图能够较好地反映分区统计数据的空间分布、动态变化等特征,较其它表现形式更有直观、表现力强、易于理解等优势。

Abstract: With traditional paper maps developed to electronic maps, the visualization tools of spatial information has experienced huge changes from 2D to 3D, static to dynamic, and physical to virtual. In order to overcome the limits of traditional maps in terms of expression and visualization, we took the GDP data of mainland China from 2004-2013 as example to explore the methods of making 3D dynamic columnar map. We employed two variables of 3D column, namely height and color, to express two different attributes to display 3D columnar maps of different time. Result shows that 3D dynamic columnar map could well reflect the spatial distribution and dynamic changes of statistical data, and is more intuitive, expressive, and easy to understand than other expressions.
