Recently, the Journal of Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute (JCRSRI) has been officially included in DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), the world’s largest open-access journal database. This is the first time the Journal has been included in the world’s largest open-access journal directory, which is an important step in the journal’s international development. It indicates that both the quality control and open-access policy of the Journal have reached international standards, and it is of positive significance for further enhancing the journal’s academic level, publicity scope, and international influence.
DOAJ is a well-known international academic journal database founded by Lund University in Sweden. It covers multiple disciplines such as science, technology, medicine, and social sciences. It is currently the world’s largest database that only includes open-access journals and is also one of the world’s five major literature retrieval systems on a par with PubMed, SCI, EI, and Scopus. As the most authoritative and well-recognized open-access journal directory internationally, DOAJ has very high screening criteria for the journals it includes. It has extremely strict requirements for the openness and transparency of journals, including strict reviews of the journal’s academic quality, publication quality, open-access policy, and publication process. Only high-quality open-access journals that meet the best industry practice standards can be included in DOAJ.
As of now, JCRSRI has been included in international databases such as the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) in Sweden, GeoRef (Geological Abstracts) in the United States, EuroPub (European Academic Publishing Center) in the United Kingdom, and Ulrichsweb. In the next step, the Journal will continue to adhere to high-quality publication, expand the journal’s influence, and contribute more to the construction of an internationally first-class journal and the promotion of water science development.
