To further strengthen academic journal work exchanges, explore directions for high-quality development, and discuss publishing strategies, the editorial department of Journal of Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute (JCRSRI) held the Eighth Editorial Board Meeting and the Founding Anniversary Symposium in Wuhan on December 7th.
Ms. Hu Zaoping, Director General of the Office of the Changjiang Water Resources Commission (CWRC), and Mr. Xu Quanxi, President of CRSRI and Chairman of JCRSRI’s Editorial Board, attended the meeting and delivered opening remarks. Mr. Liu Lian-bing, Director of the Hanjiang River Management and Protection Center of CWRC and JCRSRI’s editorial board member, Mr. Yao Shi-ming, Vice President of CRSRI and Vice Chairman of JCRSRI’s editorial board, and Ms. Ding Xiu-li, Vice President of CRSRI and Vice Chairman of JCRSRI’s editorial board, also attended the meeting and presented awards. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Xu Ping, Chief Engineer of CRSRI and Editor-in-Chief of JCRSRI. All members of the Eighth Editorial Board and advisory board were present.
Ms. Hu Zaoping congratulated JCRSRI on its achievements since its founding and expressed high hopes for its future development. She emphasized that the journal should always maintain the correct value orientation, shouldering the responsibility of disseminating scientific and technological achievements in the water conservancy field in the new era. By focusing on key core technology research and development, it should promptly report the latest scientific and research achievements, providing strong technological support for the protection of the Yangtze River and the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
President Xu Quan Xi, in his speech, reviewed JCRSRI’s achievements over forty years and its contributions to the development of water conservancy science and technology, expressing gratitude to all the board members, authors, and experts who have dedicated themselves to the development of the journal. He also put forward requirements for high-quality journal development.
During the meeting, embers of the Eighth Editorial Board, outstanding reviewers, authors of outstanding papers, young editorial board members, and journal peers engaged in exchanges around the latest trends in water conservancy science and technology, the journal’s future development direction, review experiences, and the display of excellent research results. All attendees discussed and exchanged ideas on effectively promoting the high-quality development of the journal. The meeting also held award ceremonies for outstanding reviewers and outstanding paper authors, announced the list of the first batch of young editorial board members of JCRSRI. Approximately 90 people from universities and scientific research institutions across the country attended the meeting.
