Letter of Appreciation to the Reviewers of Journal of CRSRI

  • Dear esteemed reviewers,

As the winter fades and spring emerges, bringing forth revitalization, we extend our heartfelt greetings and utmost respect to you in the joyous celebration of the new year.

Looking back at 2022, the silent pendulum of time has swung by, but its significance is deeply felt. The world witnessed a complex chessboard of shifting dynamics, with a century-defining pandemic intertwining with extreme heatwaves, droughts, and frequent flooding disasters. Reflecting on the past 365 days and nights, we have experienced a mix of emotions and traversed through challenges, but regardless of the changing world, it is your support that has sustained the Journal of CRSRI as a tranquil academic harbor. It is your assistance that has allowed us to provide a feast of knowledge and intellectual delight for countless readers.

Looking back at 2022, over the past year, we saw a steady increase in our impact factor, reaching 1.699 as announced in the “Chinese Journal Impact Factor Annual Report,” firmly placing us in the Q1 zone of Chinese academic journal rankings. For the past year, we have consistently been selected as a National Core Journal, a Chinese Science and Technology Core Journal, a Core Journal in the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), and an RCCSE Core Academic Journal in China. Moreover, we have been awarded funding from the Chutian Excellent Action Plan for Scientific Journals in Hubei Province. Every progress we have made is accompanied by your care and love. Every honor we have received embodies your wisdom and hard work.

Although we have never met you in person and authors do not even know your names, your meticulous comments and revisions, from word documents to the finished journal infused with the fragrance of ink, are conveyed through emails, connecting you with them closely. We express our gratitude to you, not only for your wholehearted support enabling us to move steadily on the path of a high-quality journal, but also for your enduring dedication as a disseminator of knowledge, imparting long-lasting sentiments through “teaching people to fish.”

As days and months pass, seasons change, and the road ahead stretches a thousand miles, we continue to move forward. Guided by the spirit of the 20th Party Congress and oriented towards the latest academic developments in water conservancy, we set sail on the journey to promote the protection of the Yangtze River and the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. In this season’s end, we wish you a lofty path to follow, and harmony like the spring.  With the best wishes for a prosperous spring!
