Abstract: Environmental problems caused by tidal flat reclamation are briefly expounded, and the significance of building an assessment system for ecological reclamation under the strong request of accelerating ecological civilization is presented. The connotation of ecological reclamation is enriched from perspectives of social economy, natural resource potential, environmental quality, landscape ecology and eco-environmental protection. Moreover, a model of assessing ecological reclamation is established by combining the analytic hierarchy process with consulting opinions of experts. This model is applied to the evaluation of the reclamation project II in Beiao of Dongtou County. The assessment results are in accordance with the practice that it is a good project of ecological reclamation, which further verifies the reliability and practical applicability of the assessment model.
