Abstract: In recent 3 years, from 2012 to 2014, 38 experts carring out international exchange and cooperation with Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute (CRSRI) have been invited to deliver 22 lectures in CRSRI. Basic information and background of the 22 expert lectures are firstly collected, and main contents of all the lectures are annually introduced. Effectiveness of the lectures is generally summarized as 3 parts upgrading ideas of water management and river regulation, tracking frontier of hydro science, and strengthening exchange and cooperation of engineers in cooperative projects. In the first part , economic optimization curve for extra dike height, domain of “general river researches”, river engineering and environmental protection are discussed . In the second part , relevant theories and methods are introduced ,namely maximum sediment transportation efficiency of braided rivers, shale gas exploitation and water resources protection, and numerical modelling on emissions of greenhouse gasses from reservoirs and lakes.
