Abstract: By punching shear test on eight two-way fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) concrete slabs which were simply supported on four sides and subjected to off-center concentrated load, we obtained the load-deflection characteristics of the test slabs and the deflection distribution. Test results showed that the deformations of the test slabs before punching shear failure was caused by bending moments. Main factors influencing the punching load-deflection curves under off-center concentrated load were concrete strength, reinforcement ratio of FRP bars, location of concentrated load, etc. The test results are beneficial to the application of FRP bars in engineering and the indepth research on punching shear performace of concrete slabs.
