Design and Development of Bidirectional Flume

Abstract

To simplify the control processes of flume experiment and improve test accuracy, we have designed a new type of experimental flume which is the first in China to be capable of bidirectional operation. A closed circulating balance system of water supply is adopted to replace the current water supply system in the flume so that the  performance of the flume is  promoted.  Moreover, complete  automatic control over the opening and closing of valve, the starting and stopping of pump, the volume of flow as well as the bidirectional flow could be realized in this flume.
