Study on Prediction Model for Carbonization Depth of High Volume Fly Ash Concrete

Abstract: Being endowed with various fine properties, high volume fly ash concrete has been extensively used in engineering. Nevertheless, researches on its durability such as carbonization have not been conducted in depth. In this paper, the existing prediction models on concrete carbonation depth are analysed, and the carbonization coefficient Dec based on a quantity of real data is worked out ,then a prediction model for carbonization depth of high volume fly ash concrete has been primarily established. The model is further applied to the prediction verification of engineering carbonization data. The result reveals that model A is fit for predicting the carbonization depth when the volume fly ash is more than or equal to 60%, whereas model B is fit for predicting the carbonization depth when the volume fly ash is less than 60%, with an error rate less than 10%.
