Abstract: Soil-rock structure is often adopted to bank protection in river regulation engineering. It is easy to be destroyed. Dangerous situation happens frequently, and the maintain cost is high. In recent years, hydraulic engineers have looked forward to finding new structure，new materials, new process to reduce emergency. In this paper, the latest technology of bank protection and water diversion structure is summarized, and the advantages and shortcomings of various structure are compared, the development direction in the future is also indicated．This may be a reference for the design of bank protection works.
