Abstract

In order to create a greater efficiency of water resources in rivers and meet the overall planning request and scientific control of a reservoir, it is very important to carry out the study on the control and management, and enhance the operation level of the reservoir. In this paper a mathematical model for Lotus reservoir by applying dynamic programming method is established, meanwhile the equations are solved with visual programming, at last the results of dynamic programming method are contrasted with Calendar scheduling method, The results indicate that using dynamic programming method is simple, fast and can improve the efficiency of electricity generation.
