Aqueducts are essential structures in reservoirs to irrigation, water supply, power generation, etc. In this paper we analyze the typical symptoms, reinforcing solutions and relevant factors of defective aqueducts in small reservoirs ； summarize the main disease categories and reinforcing solutions of aqueducts ； present the opinion that the critical relevant factors of reinforcing solutions for aqueducts are the size of cross section, the laying depth and the engineering geologic condition ； thus provide ideas and approaches to select the appropriate aqueduct reinforcement solutions
