Numerical Simulation of Characteristics of Vertical Slot Fishway on Same One Side

Abstract

The standard k-ε model and RSM model were applied respectively to simulate the flow in vertical slot fishway set on the same one side. The flow fields, Reynolds stresses and so on of one chamber were analyzed , meanwhile the calculated data of two models and measured results were compared. The results indicates that both of the above mentioned two models are effective for simulation of flow characteristics of the vertical slot fishway set on the same one side , however , the velocity field calculated with the RSM model is in much better agreement with measured results.
