Abstract

Yaojiaping Hydro-junction Project is located in Enshi City, Hubei Province. Yantang landslide is a large landslide in the reservoir area, which directly threatens the safey of the Yaojiaping Hydropower Station system, it has more harmfulness. The landslide will be steady in natural condition, but under the seismic action, it will be in unsteady or ultimately balanced condition. On the basis of the activity of surrounding historical earthquakes and geological structure of Yantang landslide , the paper analyzes the activity on fault zone , and finds out the potentially seismic source of the strong and medium strong earthquakes, parameters of its activity and the attenuation laws of seismic parameters. The study provides an essential basis for seismic design and anti-seismic countermeasures of the Yaojiaping Hydropower Station system.
