The Middle Route Project and Eastern Route Project of South-to-North Water Transfer Project(phaseⅠ) will supply water for 39 cities, and their economic and social development levels, natural endowments of water resource, water use efficiencies, water-saving society statues are all different, and their water-saving modes of social construction have certain differences. This paper chose the cluster analysis method, a branch of multivariate statistical methods, to study the cities water-saving society building district, on the basis of statistical data in 2005. The city districting result may be used for selecting typical cities to research water-saving management mode and accumulate experience so as to popularize to whole water-use region.
