Abstract

 The existing discussion about the two types of the rock whole process stress  strain curve is analysed. According to a large number of test results based on the MTS trial system, the rationality of the class II curve is analysed using energy criteria. And owing to a more stable control method, the class II curve can reflect the real situation of rock mass destruction, and can provide a new starting point to study the rock burst.
