Abstract: It is confirmed as an effective approach to manage eutrophicated lake by planting in water technology, but the popularization of the technology is difficult because of lower crop yield. By indoor experiment , the paper studied the effect of TN,TP in eutrophic water absorbed by expanded vermiculite, which has a better absorption property and cation exchange capacity. Results indicated as follows: Expanded vermiculite has a better absorption capability to TN, TP in eutrophic water;when TN and TP concentration in eutrophic water is 0.5 mg/L and 5 mg/L, absorption equilibrium is obtained basically after 8h;the removal ratio of TN, TP in eutrophic water is 76% and 30% respectively after 32h; however, TN and TP concentration in vermiculite leachate is four times and three times than those in eutrophic water.
