Abstract

In this paper, the effect evaluation of rainfall-runoff storage and utilization with sloping farmland at Xiaziling Irrigation Test District in Zhong County, Chongqing City , was studied by establishing reasonable fuzzy mathematic model. The integrated evaluation index system, which takes into consideration of building the reservoirs up sloping farmlands, used for regulating rainfall-runoff, intercepting seasonal rainwater and supplying water for crop irrigation requirement, has been advanced. Then the model was used to evaluate collection and utilization of the rainwater in the test areas. The calculated results showed that the good effectiveness with different natural rainfalls in typical design years was determined. Therefore, it is necessary to regulate the flow of rainfall-runoff and to implement water into a distribution system in seasonal drought zone. At same time the result can provide scientific basis for further more researches of rainfall-runoff storage and utilization on the sloping farmland in the upper reaches of Yangtze River as well.
