Dam Partition Temperature Control for Left Bank of Xiangjiaba? Hydropower Station

Abstract

Because of the larger concrete volume of Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station, the internal hydration heat is difficult to diverge out, easy to create cracks in the dam. In order to avoid the occurrence of cracks in the dam, and by means of the analysis on basic information, the dam stable temperature field was calculated by 3 D finite element method. The numerical simulation calculation for typical dam sections during the whole construction process was performed, from which the inner temperature field and thermal stresses were analysed under different joint programs. So choosing a suitable joint program for dam construction plan can effectively reduce the occurrence of cracks.
