Abstract: On the basis of researching underground flow calculation model in 3D discrete element method (DEM) and the combination of flow model and solid model etc., the calculation method was presented about the coupling analysis of flow and mechanical calculation. The proposed scheme has been applied to study the blocks stability of some underground tunnel and the influence of the action of underground water and joint apertures on calculated results was analysed. The calculated results accord with practice.
