Abstract

Sediment carrying capacity is an important parameter in the analysis of river process. This paper verifies a great deal of sediment carrying capacity formulae and adopts some verification methods. The verification methods include correlation coefficient method, least distance method, convergence coefficient method, error coefficient method and clustering analysis method. The results obtained from the correlation coefficient method, least distance method, convergence coefficient method and error coefficient method disagree with each other in some differences, but cluster analysis method can unify the other four methods result.
