Abstract: The Monte Carlo method is adopted to generate the stochastic fracture network. On the basis of automatic identification method for three dimensional multi-block system and the basal principle of topology, the homogeneities and differences forming a block system cut by limited and infinite structural planes are compared. Then the automatic identification method for three dimensional network of random discontinuities is brought forward, and the results proved by the examples show that the method is reliable.
