Abstract: In order to research the rheological characteristics and long term strength of Huangtupo landslides deep slip band soil, the creep tests were carried out. The test results validated that the slip band soil possesses obvious creep characteristic.And the creep curve clusters based on nonlinear Boltzmann superposition principle have good similarity. According to the results of creep test, the Burgers creep model which can reflect the creep behaviors of slip band soil is established. And constant parameters of the model are recognized. In the end, the envelopes of long-term strength and peaking strength are compared, from which it can come the conclusion that the long term strength may decrease 30% than the peaking strength under the same stress level.
