The development of the research for constitutive model of soil and rock is reviewed. In combination mechanism study with phenomenological theory，a systematically numerical modeling method is put forward. The basic process and philosophical essence of this method are pointed out. The study results show that the method is an object-oriented and opening system proceeding compared with other correlative theories and tools. It is also forecasted for its applied prospect and devloping tendency.
