Abstract

Based on the prototype observed data of overflow atomization at Jiangya Hydropower Station in 2002, the synthetic evaluation prediction model proposed by predecessors is verified and improved. The calculated result demonstrates that the predicted results are reliable to a certain extent and in agreement with the field observations. This method is economical in cost and swift in operation. The method can be used to preliminarily evaluate atomized?rain intensity in the jet overflow of a dam.
