Taking the Huadu district of Guangzhou city as an example, this paper presents a new method for real-time water and rain situations monitoring in irrigation works system by joining DBF file of shape special data with dBase 5. It makes data of water and rain situations received by a telemeter to be displayed at real-time and dynamically on Web-GIS platform, as well as in intuitive graphs. This can help managers and relative leaders to analyze the changeable situations of water and rain, and also will be an assistant to make right decision.
